Erik Lindberg - Tracsec

Describe yourself and your project. How did you get the idea?

Tracsec is a sibling project to the startup Innoscentia AB. Innoscentia AB develops sensors for detecting gasses in closed atmospheres (such as meat packages). The product needs to be developed with tech pull according to the costumers needs. The main need/problem Innoscentia is addressing is Food Traceability (Trac) and Security (Sec), BUT in order to create a market for smart sensors and best before date solutions the whole value chain needs to be involved. Tracesec.com aims to be the category driver for such new smart tech within food status. Perhaps we will even let competitors join us if they want to.

Who are you? Previous education/jobs/ experiences etc.

Former law and business student. Not the usual lawyer. Worked 1,5 year at a FMCG company. Loves to hype things and I am very nitty gritty about design stuff.

What will you do during these three months? How will you spend the time?

It is all about finding the MVP. Since I want the site to be a community I have to take baby steps regarding the expectations of content on the site. So it will be a lot of trial and error + front end developing.

What do you expect to achieve during Leapfrogs?

A fully functional site with several members using it on a weekly basis. Leapsfrogs really gives me the funds to invest the time to create the site.

Erik Lindberg - Tracsec #2

Tell us what you have done on your project so far during the Leapfrogs time.

I have been looking very much at the minimum viable product “problem”. Digging deep into what my core value proposition is will be and is a big challenge. The first workshop with Leapfrogs made me realize that I need to narrow down the amount of functions I offer to the potential members. I have also putted up a website with hosting, design, log-in , an advanced membership function and I have made a logo.

Has everything gone according to the plan? Has anything unexpected occurred? Has something been easier/harder than expected?

Well. I can now make every necessary function for building a full scale online community (login, accounts etc.). I would have preferred to know what to actually build, but having a valuable costumer iteration process have been hard. I have had some unexpected issues regarding contacting potential costumers due to vacations.  However, the workshop with leapfrogs also helped me with that. I know at how other successful start-ups have worked and try to use their best practises.

What will you focus on during the remaining time? Will you follow your original plan or has anything changed along the way?

I will finalize the technical aspects at the website and present my value proposition to costumers. I also have a emerging need of presentation material and other standard documents such as Powerpoints, standard e-mails,PDF:s, contracts, proposals etc. After that I will start contacting costumers, probably over the phone to once again receive some feedback. My intentions are to scale it up after that and hopefully get some paying users during august or September.
