Describe yourself and your project. How did you get the idea?

inSajt is a solution for all storeowners that will automatically provide them with data driven insight about their business in order for them to make proactive decisions to optimize, improve and evolve their company. My name is Nimer,  I love to create stuff. The idea evolved from a previous project of providing storeowners the possibility of giving their customers digital receipts.

Who are you? Previous education/jobs/ experiences etc.

I am currently studying computer science and engineering. Previous work experience include working as an IT technician at Omvida AB and at Awapatents IT departement. I have also had an e-commerce website where I sold my own line of sports supplement.

What will you do during these three months? How will you spend the time?

Well we the co-founders have previously been part of Think accelerate, where we have had gained a lot of momentum. These coming months we will focus on keeping up relations with investors and keep getting units out to stores.

What do you expect to achieve during Leapfrogs?

Our goal is to reach between 50 - 100 installed units during these three months.

Tell us what you have done on your project so far during the Leapfrogs time.

nSajt got their first pilot! We have our first installation of our system at Kronprinsens Konditori & Café. With that we have been working on data aggregation, putting in failsafe code and a bunch of other stuff. We aim to complete this pilot and with the reference from this go on to other stores that have shown interest. From the first of August we will have access to our new office in central Malmö.

Has everything gone according to the plan? Has anything unexpected occurred? Has something been easier/harder than expected?

A lot of things have not gone as planned. But to the better of it, we’ve overcome those obstacles and found answers to questions that was troubling us. The most major part was to make installations on cash registers that had their receipt printer built in to the system. We found a way of getting the information that we needed without having to do some kind of special integration with the system.

What will you focus on during the remaining time? Will you follow your original plan or has anything changed along the way?

Complete the first installation and work with the shop to make the solution complete for them. Once we are done their we will go on to make an installation on “Kronprinsens spelhörna” who also notified us about their interest in inSajt. That and we will discuss what to charge for the solution. We are also waiting from almi regarding a meeting we had for soft money.

How did you experience the three months?

Since I have been able to work full time with the project, a lot of things have been achieved. Full focus have really been the key to progress in this case. What I got out most from the leapfrog workshops was getting to know fellow entrepreneurs.

What has been hardest/most enjoyable?

The hardest time during these three months were to keep the tempo up.

The most enjoyable time is, as always, when you see progress in from the work you put in.

Did it go as expected? Will you continue working on your project in the future?

As with most things, the perceived work is often much less than the actual work. But I can firmly say that I am glad of the progress made this summer from the work I have put in and I will, without a doubt, continue my work with my startup.

What would you say is the most important lesson learnt while working on your project?

Communication. Whether it is internal, among co-founders, or external towards customers/clients. Having good communication – e.g. to be able to actually put a label and a problem and activate all participants on working together – is vital for many aspects in the startup.

Do you have any tips to other ”new” entrepreneurs?

Despite whatever problem you are solving as a startup, make sure you have a good balance of skills and knowledge and good communication in your team before anything else. Think of it as building an engine and you need to make sure that all parts are of the same quality, can work together as one unit to solve whatever problem you are pursuing.
