Describe yourself and your project. How did you get the idea?

The idea about developing a menstrual cup came from the feedback I got from my customers when working as a reseller with menstrual cups. The women wanted a softer cup with a shorter stem. This was in 2010. Now 7 years later I am ready to launch FLOWCUP® that is softer and has a shorter stem. Our USP is our business-model, we are a 1 for 1 company.

Who are you? Previous education/jobs/ experiences etc.

I started working on telecom sales after high school. After 6 years in the industry, I accidentally came across a menstrual cup so I became a retailer of menstrual cups. I have also studied pedagogy, psychology, project management and marketing at MAH and HKR. Now I have a break in my studies and work with FLOWCUP® 100%.

What will you do during these three months? How will you spend the time?

What wont I do!!?:)  During June our focus is making sure that we have all products in stock. Launching the website/e-commerce. Getting some PM and articles. And above all spreading the word about FLOWCUP®. July and August our focus will be increasing the sales and impress some influencers with our cup.

What do you expect to achieve during Leapfrogs?

I hope to get in contact with other entrepreneurs and network. I think that we can help eachother with different challenges within our projects. Finally I am super-happy to have gotten Leap Frog scholarship!!

Tell us what you have done on your project so far during the Leapfrogs time.

Guess what! We have launched!. We went live on flowcup.se yesterday and we have already started getting orders although we have not yet started any advertising. It feels great!

We have also got a trainee during this summer, a nice and ambitious girl who find Flowcup to be a interesting startup. We have been focusing to get all products in stock and been working hard to make the webbshop look nice and work smoothly.

Has everything gone according to the plan? Has anything unexpected occurred? Has something been easier/harder than expected?

Everything is going as planned. Or as we say, it goes with the flow. No disasters. Our biggest worry has been the delay of the cups but everything is under control now. The cups will be delivered tuesday next week and the customers are aware about the delivery time. We only hope that the customers will love the cup now! Very exciting time for us right now.

What will you focus on during the remaining time? Will you follow your original plan or has anything changed along the way?

Sales, marketing, making sure that everything is in stock so that our delivery capacity is good.

Giving extra good service to the customers and our ambassadors is also very important. We need to better on social media also we think. I will also try to get more PM in newspapers and other media to give Flowcup an extra push. Having good conversations with some investors also. Need to keep a good dialoge with them.

How did you experience the three months?

Really good. Good pitch-training, nice get-togethers, etc. Very happy about this experience.

What has been hardest/most enjoyable?

Most enjoyable have been meeting new interesting people. Hardest part for me have been having enough time to focus on the project and at the same time having time to get the “homeworks” done properly.

Did it go as expected? Will you continue working on your project in the future?

YES! And YES! :)

What would you say is the most important lesson learnt while working on your project?

I find it hard to prioritise well some days.

Do you have any tips to other ”new” entrepreneurs?

Hm, not really but if you believe in something just go for it and talk to everyone you meet about your passion business.
