Describe the idea:

Hennings is a food producing company where sustainability and quality are the two main pillars of production. The company is focused on handpicking nettles following organic regulations, drying them in temperatures between 25-42 degrees Celsius, and processing the nettles into an organic powder. Consumers are thus able to use this powder both as a condiment, as well as a focus of a dish. Hennings is aiming to expand its product range in the future.


Who are you? Previous education/jobs/ experiences etc.

I have lived in three different farms throughout my childhood, therefore natural and local food has always been important for me. My grandmother is my biggest inspiration for what I am doing. I am currently studying Food and Meal Science in Högskolan Kristianstad where I am able to expand my knowledge and skills regarding the sphere of gastronomy. I have experience working as a chef both in Sweden and in New Zealand.


What will you do during these three months? How will you spend the time?
Throughout the three months I will focus my time on marketing and selling my product to retailers and restaurants, as well as further getting my product out on the market. I will also aim to develop more recipes for the nettle powder and increase my presence on social media. Lastly, I aim to develop new products following the availability of my farms.


What do you expect to achieve during Leapfrogs? 

I want to create a bigger bank of recipes where my customers can easily find inspiration with my products. Being further engaged in social media with my company and taking advantage of what opportunities the internet can offer is also something I strive to do during this time. Lastly, I aim to have developed at least three new products, entirely produced on my farms in Östergötland.
