Describe the idea:
Dental fear and dental anxiety is fequent in both children and adults. The foundation of that fear is often built during childhood. My idea is aiming towards making the dental visit fun, engaging and to give back control and a sense of participation to the child through child friendly dental instruments. Preventing fear in children is preventing fear in adults.
Who are you? Previous education/jobs/ experiences etc.
I recently graduated from Kristianstad University and now work part time as a dental hygienist. I tend to get big ideas and act on them fast. I also like to challenge myself, with a sense of both fear and excitement – hence why I later this year will go on a very long hike far up in northern Sweden despite not ever having been on a hike before.
What will you do during these three months? How will you spend the time?
I aim to polish the design of my product and get a legal protection of design. I also aim to develop a prototype and try it out in a dental setting. Furthermore I will delve more into what is required to develop a medical product, as well as identify and establish contact with potential customers.
What do you expect to achieve during Leapfrogs?
I expect to be further on with the project than I am now. The aim is to achieve the previous stated goals during these months. However I am new to entrepreneurship and aware of the fact that the journey might not be as straightforward as expected. Finally I expect to grow as a person and as a future business leader.
