Describe yourself and your project. How did you get the idea?

Having a background in Industrial Design and Application Development I came to Lund with a fresh ambitious spirit to become an entrepreneur while rolling into the New Venture Creation track. There I met Daan and during our studies we started Bookboost. At Bookboost increase direct bookings for hotels in conversational way. We provide the hotel with a messaging strategy persuading.

Tell us what you have done on your project so far during the Leapfrogs time.

The past weeks we have been working on our transformation from pre-revenue to making our first revenue. On the side we are extending our value proposition by implementing a cross channel platform to be able to offer omni channel messaging. Via our system hotels will be able to message via their website, but also via FB messenger, Skype, Twitter DM, Viber etc…. This opens doors for new customers and business opportunities!

Has everything gone according to the plan? Has anything unexpected occurred? Has something been easier/harder than expected?

We already have some experience with expectation management in software development. Our rule of thumb that it always takes 3 times longer than we expect it to take … J However with this experience in mind we are pretty much on schedule. We are happy with the quality and quantity of everybody which is delivering. On the sales side we feel hotels are very enthusiastic, however when they are about to sign it can be more of a challenge.

What will you focus on during the remaining time? Will you follow your original plan or has anything changed along the way?

The plan didn’t change. We already working on this company for more then a year. Every three months we have a meeting to discuss what the progress is, what our clients think, how the market looks like, and if our scalable potential still is on track. While doing this we have a critical look on what happened and what can be better. After this meeting we make a plan for 3 months and go full on again to deliver to our next milestone.
